Maria Grazia Chiuri and Pierpaolo Piccioli are an unbeatable duo! The talented designers manage to make me fall in love with this house a little bit more with every fashion show they put on. After being completely and irremediably in love with last year’s fall collection inspired by the beautiful Dutch paintings, I can’t stop feeling the same about the new fall 2014 one. The runway was vivid and colorful, yet strong and elegant. The designers incorporated a variety of style expressions, but still highlighted the core of this fashion house.
Minimalism blended with couture. A lot of the elements seen in the SS2014 couture collection were kept in. The sophisticated tulle and lace dresses were embroidered with floral motifs and see-through fabrics were decorated with little birds and butterflies. As I mentioned before, the show did not miss the minimalism. Simple, yet utterly feminine dresses completed the collection.
