I waited for all the fashion weeks to be over to finally write a post about the street style that was so very much awaited. Photographer Diego Zuko captured the aesthetic of the rainy and cloudy days that restrained the street style to a less colourful range of options. The most vividly in my mind still remain Miroslava Duma in her electirc blue suit and of course, the beautiful Ulyana Sergeenko who carries her signature style so effortlessly.
But, fur seemed to be what everybody opted for, whether it was the classic coat/jacket or smaller pieces such as hats or collars.
So today I decided to do something a little bit different! This is the first time I took pictures of my own clothes and decided to show them on my blog . I just thought I should do a more personal post, as my blog is quite general & impersonal. I love this black & white trend! I am crazy for knitted sweaters and this white one is among my favorites. I love mixing patterns and this casual urban style has grown on me lately. So…this is what I came up with…
When it comes to bags and shoes, Jil Sander is always on my list of favorites. Last time, I showed you my favorite pair of shoes from the spring 2012 collection which landed straight on the top of my wishlist. This time, I will show you my favorite fall 2012 high heels and bag. I am talking about this black pair of shoes that you can see above. I am lovin’ it! Not sure if it’s the general tendency I have been influenced by lately, but I have certainly paid more attention to black items than I normally do. And this elegant pair of high heels created by Raf Simons for his last Jil Sander collection can’t go by unnoticed. I like the structure, the subtle black and dark blue combination and the delicate strap around the ankle. As for the bag, I am crazy for simple designs, so you can understand why I love it!
PS: I am eagerly looking forward to seeing Raf Simons’ work for Dior. (pictures via style.com)
One of the most awaited fashion shows during London fashion week took place yesterday at the Kensington Gardens. Here is a quick look at the outfits the guests wore for the event. As expected, there were a lot of Fall 2012 pieces. For example, Dita von Teese wore thisfloral dressthat she paired with a purple Burberry bag and umbrella. Gabriella Wilde attended the show in a gray suit and Burberry sandals while Olivia Palermo wore a Pre-Fall 2012 look(buy the flare pants). Do-Youn Jeon opted for a Fall 2012 outfit. (buy the dress)
Oh, I was just wondering when I would find a good street style outfit because I haven’t posted one in a while…Eva Mendes was spotted doing some vintage shopping at the Necromance and Design Utopia boutique. Again, I’m in love with her outfit. She makes wedges look so good, I’d go right now to buy a pair although they are among my least favorite shoes. Eva paired her blue printed dress with her favorite oversized belt & a Ralph Lauren Cartridge shoulder bag. Still trying to find out what brands the sunglasses and the wedges are…(pictures via: justjared.com)
PS: I know you can’t see the bag very well from these pictures, but here it is: net-a-porter.com
