Dear stylists, please let us see more of Mr. Yudashkin on the red carpet!
After taking my breath away with an utterly feminine SS2014 collection, Valentin Yudashkin easily made it to the top of my list of favorite designers.
Dropping out the full minimalist style for a more thorough sophistication, the Russian designer opted for embellished gowns and see-through fabrics. The collection exuded black elegance through all its pores, so, here and there, metallic accents and sheer white designs enlivened the runway. (more…)
Finals have been keeping me quite busy so my posts are going to be few and short. I found this great photo of a backless dress that was designed for the Spring 2007 collection of Balmain. What is alluring about it is the combination of the ever elegant black and the volume in the sleeves which makes it so enchantingly feminine.

Winter is very soon coming to an end and I am happily looking forward to spring, as are the designers. Recently, the elites presented their spring haute couture collections and obviously I had to peek at each and one of them. There was something about Stéphane Rolland’s runway looks that immediately drew my attention. The sheer simplicity and the perfect tayloring were transported into a classic minimalistic perfection that centered on the two classic antagonist colours: black and white. You can see the collection here: wwd.com.
I haven’t really covered any Parisian street style that went on during the haute couture fashion week, but Stéphane Rolland’s monochrome collection gives me the perfect reason to do so and point out the timeless vibe of white in outfits and elegant black details.
