It’s Saturday which means that I can delve into beautiful photography and enjoy the charming visuals of past ad campaigns. Today, I stumbled upon this breath-taking photograph of Karen Mulder taken for the Spring 1995Céline campaign. I haven’t found out who the photographer was, but he/she surely did an incredible job. I love the striking cinematic vibe. It is amazing how picturesque a red dress can be if captured in the right moment; and of course, artistic and ravashing at the same time…
I eagerly waited to see how Phoebe Philo envisioned the Céline woman for the next fall/winter season. I couldn’t have been happier with the result: femininity and functionality merging into one. Structural silhouettes, geometric prints, a color palette screaming strength, rounded designs, voluminous coats, modern minimalistic jewelery pieces and jaw-dropping leather boots formed a very well-executed collection that defines the woman of modern times. I selected some of my favorite looks and you can see them below. Please let me add that those boots and coats are definitely something to crave for!
The perfectly alluring minimalism of Céline is undoubtedly one I cannot resist. Looking through the 2012 Winter Lookbook I have come across these leather goods that I believe would be perfect for a proper new year start. I like the shoe design, especially the geometric heel, as for the bag and its subtle elegance…it’s my new craving! (pictures via celine.com)
