I’ve been going through street style pictures ever since the fashion weeks started hoping that I would eventually find something that would blow my mind. That did not happen, but I did gather some very beautiful pictures. Masculinity, minimalism, monochrome looks, functionality…these are the things that I was looking forward to seeing at the fashion weeks among the too-colorful-too-kitsch ensembles and thankfully I found them. Enjoy! (more…)
I am keeping an eye on the Resort 2014 collections as they are being released. Rag & Bone is always a reliable brand when it comes to functionality. Chic and modern, yet very comfortable, the Rag & Bone designs can fit into any girl’s closet. And based on this trait, Marcus Wainwright revealed that this collection has, in fact, no theme. Therefore the universality of these clothes is what makes them so attractive and perfect for the city life.
My favorite pieces are the coats – the mohair two-toned cocoon and especially the simple and well-tailored ones in black, blue and ochre.

I eagerly waited to see how Phoebe Philo envisioned the Céline woman for the next fall/winter season. I couldn’t have been happier with the result: femininity and functionality merging into one. Structural silhouettes, geometric prints, a color palette screaming strength, rounded designs, voluminous coats, modern minimalistic jewelery pieces and jaw-dropping leather boots formed a very well-executed collection that defines the woman of modern times. I selected some of my favorite looks and you can see them below. Please let me add that those boots and coats are definitely something to crave for!
Every season, there are a couple of fashion designers that I like to keep an eye on. One of them is Hussein Chalayan whose coats and jackets I am always craving for. And again, he didn’t cease to amaze me this season with his approach of modern looks and the speed of rolling from day to night wardrobe. In a palette of black, gray and dark green, vivified here and there with light earth tones or vibrant laser-like colors, the designer presented a collection of denim pieces interpreted in various forms: from short skirts to flare or skinny jeans. Signature precise cuts shaped perfectly tailored jackets and coats, while short colorful dresses alternated with long black gowns. Ankle boots in red velvet enlivened the collection.
See some of my favorite details of the collection below:
I have fallen in love with this Chalayan coat ever since I saw it. There is something special about this voluminous, yet simple design. The shape and the tailoring are perfect. Here is an outfit that I created with this lovely coat and some other things I like:

Notes: Here are some other coats that I like from the Fall 2012 RTW Collections. You should definitely check out the 3.1 Phillip Lim runway show (above). I really like the outwear that’s why I chose two pictures from his collection which is based on minimalism – just what I like!.
Acne (above) and Chloé (below) are always on my lists of favorites. The 2012 Fall Jil Sander collection (below) is a stunner for sure. Everything about it is amazing. Raf Simmons created a beautiful collection of sheer feminine pieces.
