I waited for all the fashion weeks to be over to finally write a post about the street style that was so very much awaited. Photographer Diego Zuko captured the aesthetic of the rainy and cloudy days that restrained the street style to a less colourful range of options. The most vividly in my mind still remain Miroslava Duma in her electirc blue suit and of course, the beautiful Ulyana Sergeenko who carries her signature style so effortlessly.
But, fur seemed to be what everybody opted for, whether it was the classic coat/jacket or smaller pieces such as hats or collars.
First revealed during the spring 2013 fashion show in London, the shoe collection is a collaboration of London-based designer, Roksanda Ilincic with the Canadian brand, Aldo. Produced as a capsule collection forAldo Rise, it is due to hit the stores in February 2013. In a variety of vibrant colour combinations, the shoes are a proper addition to Roksanda’s collection which could be defined as a colour experiment. A concept that was surely transposed in the shoe design as well, in addition to the other trending concepts used such as the see-trough materials or the cylindrical high heels. I am very interested in the plain black ones with the neon accents and metallic heels.
I tried to find some close-ups of the shoes alone so I came over these pictures taken by fashion blogger Jaime from Boy Meets Fashion. You can find more pictures there.
Miranda looked flawless as usual while out & about in New York City. She matched a Balenciaga snake printed skirt with a 3.1 Phillip Lim black chiffon top and Lanvin Resort 2012 pumps. (pictures via: zimbio.com)
When it comes to bags and shoes, Jil Sander is always on my list of favorites. Last time, I showed you my favorite pair of shoes from the spring 2012 collection which landed straight on the top of my wishlist. This time, I will show you my favorite fall 2012 high heels and bag. I am talking about this black pair of shoes that you can see above. I am lovin’ it! Not sure if it’s the general tendency I have been influenced by lately, but I have certainly paid more attention to black items than I normally do. And this elegant pair of high heels created by Raf Simons for his last Jil Sander collection can’t go by unnoticed. I like the structure, the subtle black and dark blue combination and the delicate strap around the ankle. As for the bag, I am crazy for simple designs, so you can understand why I love it!
PS: I am eagerly looking forward to seeing Raf Simons’ work for Dior. (pictures via style.com)
