Jil Sander, Spring 1992

jil-sander-1992-spring-summer-campaign-Photographer-Nick Knight-model-Tatjana-Patitz-vintage-photographyWhat’s better than enjoying some good old fashion photography on a gloomy Saturday afternoon? I found this breath-taking picture taken by photographer Nick Knight for the Jil Sander Spring/Summer 1992 Campaign. Tatjana Patitz‘s serene beauty and the ‘très très chic’ and perfectly-tailored jacket are an irresistibly stylish combination and a sheer aesthetic delight for this campaign. And this is why I love going through archives…

Nonetheless, the whole campaign is very beautiful and “oh, so 90s!”, you should check it out here.

Currently Lovin’…Sheer Black by Jil Sander (Fall 2012)

When it comes to bags and shoes, Jil Sander is always on my list of favorites. Last time, I showed you my favorite pair of shoes from the spring 2012 collection which landed straight on the top of my wishlist. This time, I will show you my favorite fall 2012 high heels and bag. I am talking about this black pair of shoes that you can see above. I am lovin’ it! Not sure if it’s the general tendency I  have been influenced by lately, but I have certainly paid more attention to black items than I normally do. And this elegant pair of high heels created by Raf Simons for his last Jil Sander collection can’t go by unnoticed. I like the structure, the subtle black and dark blue combination and the delicate strap around the ankle. As for the bag, I am crazy for simple designs, so you can understand why I love it!

PS: I am eagerly looking forward to seeing Raf Simons’ work for Dior. (pictures via style.com)

Kasia Smutniak’s Jil Sander & Valentino Looks @ The 2012 Venice Film Festival

The beautiful Polish actress has impressed with her outfits. So far, Kasia has worn a beautiful Jil Sander Fall 2012 dress and also opted for two Valentino  (Fall 2012 & Resort 2013) dresses for the photocall and the dinner party. Her style and her dress picks remind me of Keira Knightley. I mean, it’s like seeing Keira Knightley at the Venice premiere of “A dangerous Method”. Nevertheless, she looks lovely. Wishlist: Shoes for Spring

Yes, I finally remembered to write a post about shoes (only!) since I have a category entitled “High Heels” which hasn’t been updated for a while. Shoescriebe!…have you heard about it? It is basically every woman’s dream: a website fully dedicated to footwear you can shop or dream of. As I was browsing through their products yesterday (did I mention they’re all labels?), I found some pairs of shoes that caught my attention, some that I would wear this spring.

{1} Giacomorelli Oxfords: I am a big fan of oxford shoes and I do posses this type of footwear, but these look really nice. I like that satin bow, although I wish it were a little smaller!

What I would wear: high-waisted cotton shorts, a simple chiffon or silk blouse and a blazer with its sleeves rolled-up.

{2} Jil Sander Pumps: Well, these Jil Sander shoes follow one of this spring’s main colour trends. This blue is absolutely lovely! I also like the heel structure.

What I would wear: Lots of looks are coming up in my mind! I’m all about simplicity so, maybe I’d go with a simple nude dress such as Bottega Veneta  or Preen and an oversized necklace.

{3} Sergio Rossi High Heels: Color-Blocking! Another trend this year! I’d pair them with a suit in a monotone colour (I’m thinking of pastels) with ankle lenght trousers such as this Jenni Kayne look.
